Inaugural Lecture of Prof. John Gambo Laah
Date: Thursday. 26th 2018Topic:
Introduction
Land use is a functional aspect of an area with respect to humans activities on the land (it can be occupational and cultural). It basically means what humans use a particular land for. Normally, humans make use of land either to derive some benefits, perform some functions and/or maintain the environment. Land use type varies from area to area. On one hand, in rural areas, for instance, land is mainly used for farming, forestry, grazing and local earth dams.
